How to send us your artwork/data

Please ensure that you have read the information below before sending us your final artwork for printing. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any liability for unsatisfactory prints due to these instructions not being followed.

When sending your data to us, please do so via a secure, encrypted method, such as a password encrypted Excel file or memory stick.  If sending large files, such as artwork, we recommend using WeTransfer ( https://wetransfer.com) or a similar secure, GDPR compliant file transfer application.  Whether using WeTransfer or sending via email, please address your artwork to bureau@idcardcentre.co.uk.

Please note that after completion and acceptance of your order, these files will be deleted. This will be done on your instruction or after 30 days, whichever is sooner, unless we receive your written instructions to keep them for future orders.

Important notes:

  • Our full artwork guidelines are available on our website and can be accessed here.
  • We have created a basic design file to help you design your cards which can be downloaded here.
  • Ensure your artwork sizing is correct and you’ve made the necessary allowances for bleed and any slot or hole punch required.
  • Artwork must be supplied as a .jpg or .pdf in the exact dimensions for a CR80 card (85.6mm x 54mm) plus a 3mm bleed if the design goes over the edge.
  • Use vector-based artwork wherever possible for best results. 
  • Provide a separate artwork file for each card required.  Please note we cannot merge your data with your card design.  If you need us to do this then the £30 artwork and database set up fee will be charged.
  • Double check all text for spelling, formatting and the type case. We will print the artwork exactly as it has been supplied.
  • Your cards or badges will be printed using a dye sublimation process in single mono or full YMCKO or edge to edge retransfer printing. Therefore, all colours will be converted to YMCKO which may result in small colour variances. Whilst dye sublimation and retransfer printing does provide a close colour match, it does not give an exact pantone match.

Artwork FAQs

  • Can I send my artwork to be checked before I order?  We don't offer a pre-checking service, however you can order a Photo Artwork Proof.  We will print your design, as you have supplied it, onto a card and send you a photo so that you can check you're happy with the positioning, print quality and colours, before we fulfil your full order.  
  • My artwork isn’t uploading on the site, what can I do?  It's only possible to upload certain file types via our website.  If your artwork wont upload, please follow the instructions above for sending via an alternative, secure method.
  • I can’t upload more than one file.  How do I send them to you?  If you have multiple designs, follow the instructions above for how to send us our artwork via another, secure method.  
  • How long will it take to receive my artwork?  Times can vary depending on the complexity of the design, current workloads and the time we receive your order.  However we will always ensure there is enough time for your order to be completed in the time frame for your order.  For standard orders (delivery in 3-5 working days) you can expect artwork in no more than 2 working days and for expedited orders (1-2 working days), artwork will typically be done in a few hours from receipt of paid order.
