How quickly can you print my cards?

Our express service is 1-2 working days from artwork sign off.  Our express service carries a 20% surcharge.

Orders are classed as having been received that day if they are received by 12pm.

NB. The above lead times are applicable to orders under 2500 cards and card designs without the special features including spot gloss, hologram, foil, embossing.

How much do they cost?

For quotes over 200 cards or for cards requiring encoding or special features (including but not limited to foiling, embossing, scratch panels, spot gloss, holograms, UV overlays) please contact us at sales@plastic-id.com.

Please note that card personalisation including colour photos, names/job titles, sequential numbering and barcodes/QR codes are all included in our standard pricing.

Can you encode the cards?

No matter what type of technology card you need, whether it be RFID, contactless, chip or magnetic stripe, we can encode your cards at the time of printing. This includes MIFAREĀ® chip serial number (CSN) capture and sector encoding/encryption. This information will be supplied back to you for integration into your own systems.

What size and thickness are the cards?

We mainly print on standard credit card size (CR80) PVC cards.

Dimensions: 86mm x 54mm.

Thickness is 760micron/30 mil (again like a standard credit card).

If you need thinner cards please ask us for a quote.

What type of cards do you use?

As standard we use premium, white, gloss finish, PVC Fotodek cards to ensure a superior print finish and longer lasting cards.  If you require a different base card such as a biodegradable card or matt finish please contact us for a quote.

How long do printed cards last?

All of our cards have a lifespan of at least 3 years but typically last longer than this.  If you require a much longer lasting card let us know so we can recommend suitable print and lamination options.

Can you print on coloured cards?

Yes - but you need to be mindful of your card design due to colour bleed.  Find out more here.
